Birthday: July 14 2018 (Bring treats!). I sometimes get told off for sleeping on the job, but if you have a ball or a stick, I’ll then be entertained for hours! My job is “patient appreciation” although the number of cuddles that I get from our amazing patients would sometimes have you believe that their job is “Molly appreciation”.
For many of our patients, Elizabeth is the first contact they have with Aim Hearing & Audiology Services. As a patient care coordinator, Elizabeth fields phone calls that range from answering questions to booking someone’s first appointment to calming a seasoned patient who has lost their hearing aid – and she’s always ready to take action and provide the best solutions. Elizabeth is thankful for the wonderful growth opportunities she’s had and likes how the team is always helpful, cheerful, and sincerely caring. But her favorite thing about working at Aim Hearing is the patients – everyone is so sweet and humble, plus they love interacting with the front-office team.
Jenna earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and her doctoral degree from the Graduate Center, City University of New York. Her patients range from pediatric to adult, and a day’s work usually involves performing comprehensive audiological evaluations, hearing aid assessments and fittings, and cochlear implant evaluations and mappings. She loves that compassionate patient care is a top priority for the entire team, and that every patient feels cared for from the moment they walk through the door. When not in the office, Jenna enjoys spending time with family, cooking, and being outdoors.
Dr. Sydney Kaiser, Au.D., received her Doctor of Audiology degree from East Carolina University. She developed an early passion for cochlear implants due to a family connection with progressive, genetic hearing loss, but has since expanded her clinical interests in gold-standard, empathetic and evidence-based hearing aid services and aural rehabilitation.
Shannen-Michel is likely to be one of the first team members you’ll see when you visit, and you can count on a warm, friendly welcome. She is essential to our office running smoothly, as she confidentially manages patient accounts, schedules patient visits, answers pre-visit questions (including billing and insurance inquiries), and provides exceptional customer service. Shannen-Michel’s favorite thing about being on the team is that her personal mission aligns with the company’s. She can bring her whole self to work, and her gifts are appreciated by the team and patients. One standout moment for her was representing Aim Hearing in the Better Business Bureau Torch Awards for Ethics.
Angela plays a pivotal role in ensuring the Aim Hearing office runs efficiently. A typical day for her involves a range of front-office duties, handling physician referrals, and managing physician outreach. She enjoys working with our team and is especially moved by our love for our patients. It is this ongoing commitment that makes each day a fulfilling one. Angela appreciates the genuine family feeling Aim Hearing has as a team. The entire staff has a goal of providing excellence for the patients but also taking care of each other on a daily basis. When she’s not working, Angela can be found traveling, spending time with her family, playing the piano, and gardening.
Emil conducts comprehensive audiological evaluations, hearing aid fittings with real-ear measurements, cleaning, fine-tuning, and in-house repair of hearing aids. He loves the atmosphere at Aim Hearing. He believes a great team that works well together and provides best-practice protocols for patients is the ideal approach. He also loves the personal touch Aim always provides when treating patients. A personal success for Emil was when a gentleman came into the office fearing that he was going to lose his job due to a failed hearing exam. As a result of treatment, the patient kept his job and returned to our practice “with a big smile telling me I was a miracle worker.”
Birthday: May 16 2019. As soon as you walk through the door, I’ll be racing with Molly to say hello and give you a warm welcome. I don’t ask for much in return, but if you’re feeling generous then I love belly rubs! My role is “patient appreciation” and Dr. Shannon tells me that I do a great job. I look forward to seeing you soon.
